It is now more specific and helpful, breaking down what exactly they will price match. Some new additions include:
1. We do not require customers to have the ad with them to honor a competitor’s ad. (THIS IS HUGE!! Many readers have complained to me that their Walmart required them to have the ad, not anymore!)
2. Fresh produce and meat items when the price is offered in the same unit type (lb. for lb.; each for each)
I STRONGLY suggest printing this updated version directly from Walmart.com and keeping it with you in your binder! Don’t forget to print off the other store coupon policies that are online and put them in your coupon binders. You can find those here…

I actually work at Walmart and find this to be an abhorrent amendment to the policy, not the meat or dairy thing, but the fat that customers will not need an ad to get the price they want. They could make up any price they want and we would have to give it to them. I’m sorry, but I refuse to do this, I do not trust some customers one bit.

Nancy – SO annoying that Walmart won’t match their own online or other store prices! I’ve heard multiple complaints about this. It’s so weird! But so far, I haven’t had any problems with my Walmarts matching competitor prices. Just be sure you print off that new updated price matching policy so you can say “LOOK, it says I can match right here!” Lol Or you can just be done with Walmart 🙂

Good luck with Walmart- I went on their web site and printed out their sales for the week and when I went to the store the sale prices weren’t the same as stated online and I asked them about and they stated “We do not match internet prices”—from their own store MIND YOU!!!! Plus who is going to buy Macaroni online (one of the items that they would stand behind their price) — be CAREFUL— I will not be shopping at Walmart AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If they can’t match their own price I can’t see them being very good about matching someone elses
