Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program 2017
Barnes & Noble’s Summer Reading Program will give kids the opportunity to earn a FREE book after reading 8 books. Kids can keep track of their reading with a reading log. Download the Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Journal (English or Espanol).
Sylvan’s Book Adventure Program
The Book Adventure Program by Sylvan isn’t just kids reading, it’s also an incentive program! A child reads books and later takes a short, 10 answer comprehension quiz to see how much they understood about the book they read. Points are earned depending on how much they remember and understand about the books they read. Once your child has enough points, they can collect fun prizes from Sylvan!
Sylvan has a great selection of books to choose from, most of which can be found at your local library.

TD Bank Summer Reading Program
Your child has the chance to have $10 added to their Young Saver Account for FREE when they read 10 books this summer! They are doing the Summer Reading Program again for 2017. The company states “We are currently working on updating our web page and the form to reflect the 2017 dates. While the dates currently show 2016, the information is still relevant. The program runs from June 1st through August 31st, 2017. If your child has already started their books, we will accept the 2016 form.”
When you and your child keep track of their reading for 2 weeks, Chuck E. Cheese will honor their hard-work by giving them 10 FREE tokens! Take this sheet to your local Chuck E. Cheese establishment to collect the tokens!
Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge
Is your child an avid reader? The Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge is giving kids the chance to participate not only in a summer reading program and earn prizes, but also the chance to set a reading WORLD RECORD! Learn more at Scholastic’s website, here.

Feed Your Brain Summer Program – Half Price Books
Kids will have the chance to earn a $5.00 gift card just for reading! They will have to read at least 15 minutes each day during June and July and when they reach 300 minutes they will qualify for the prize. A guardian needs to initial their progress. The reading program is for kids 14 years of age or younger, in 8th grade or under. There’s a limit of one reading log per month, for each child. The HPB Bookworm Bucks expire August 31, 2017.
LifeWay 2017 Summer Reading Quest with Bibleman
2017 Summer Reading Quest with Bibleman, June 1 to Aug. 31. They want to help you and your family promote the love of reading in your home as well as encouraging the love of God’s Word through reading His Scripture. This program is geared toward grades 1 through 6, but all are welcome to join in the adventure.
Challenge is to read six books over the course of the summer and memorize six Scripture verses. The reward is to earn a free book and a new free Bible when you turn in a completed summer reading journal at your local LifeWay store.
I Am Raising A Reader v2 program
Summer Session: June 26 – August 4, 2017 Help sustain reading habits and support families over the long summer break. To participate, families will need an email address or cell phone number that is used regularly, a mailing address and take a short survey at the end of the 6-week program.
Applebee’s Book Worm Reading Club
This reading-focused reward program encourages students ages 12 or younger at school or the library to read at least 10 books that they record on their “Bookworm Club” record card. Once a student completes all 10 books they will earn a free kid’s meal at Applebee’s (when accompanied by an adult making a purchase). Free kid’s meal! For Upstate New York, Connecticut, and Northern Pennsylvania only.
Showcase Cinemas Bookworm Wednesdays 2017
A fun and rewarding summer reading program developed to encourage young children to read during the summer months, Bookworm Wednesdays entitles kids to free admission to a select children’s film when they present a book report at a participating Cinema de Lux, Showcase, or Multiplex Cinemas box office. Accompanying parents or guardians and children under six years of age receive free admission and do not need to submit a book report.
